Hunting filler buildings one by one
- 01
Generate, Don't Download.
Buildings are generated at real metric size inside SketchUp. No Warehouse search, no heavy imports, no purging what you never placed.
- 02
One Click, One Street.
The road tool grows asphalt, curb, sidewalk, garden wall and buildings together per click, facades already turned toward the road.
- 03
Change It Anytime.
Right-click a placed building to swap its preset, add floors or re-roll it. A whole scatter is still a single Ctrl+Z.

- 154 parametric presets across 6 building types - 46 residential, 28 office, 23 commercial, 13 mixed-use, 14 skyscraper, 30 modern - and the count is checked by an automated preset test on every build.
- Three placement modes: Single with a ghost preview and arrow-key rotation (15 deg, or 1 deg with Shift), Scatter onto the faces you select, and a Paint/Erase brush you drag across the site.
- Scatter runs on density or count, with ready-made mixes, random / uniform / edge-aligned rotation, +-20% size variation and a minimum-distance bounding-box collision check - the whole field lands as one Ctrl+Z.
- The Road + Buildings tool grows asphalt, curb, sidewalk, garden strip, garden wall or fence, buildings and pocket parks together with each click (about 8 faces per road segment), and Line-up along selected edges, arcs or polylines turns the facades to face the road.
- Three detail levels - mass, standard, detailed - with automatic downgrade when the face budget is hit; each building lands at roughly 30-400 faces.
- On sloped terrain buildings stay world-vertical and a concrete plinth, measured by raytest, drops into the gap left under the base.
- Model units are read automatically (m / cm / mm / ft / in) and a Scale factor scales buildings, distances and density together; if a run places zero buildings, a diagnostic message says why.
- Wired into the SketchUp texture library across 5 categories - roofing, brick, stone, ground, asphalt and concrete - plus brick textures embedded in 9 presets.
- Right-click a placed building to swap it for another preset, add or remove floors, reroll a random variation or send it back to the panel; everything sits on a 'CityFill Buildings' tag, scatter results stay grouped for bulk deletion, and silhouette presentation mode is one click.
- Fully bilingual TR/EN interface - 307 dictionary keys per language, guarded by test_i18n - on a vanilla-JS HtmlDialog panel with no node_modules or external dependencies; installs as a plain .rbz.

Next
- Import your own .skp buildings as presets and scatter them alongside the parametric set
- Footprint import from a site plan (DXF outlines) so scatter follows real block boundaries
- Bulk detail-level swap on buildings that are already placed, for shadow studies and heavy scenes
Before you ask
SketchUp 2021 through 2026. Windows is the primary platform and macOS is supported. You install it like any other extension - the .rbz through Extension Manager - and on Windows the bundled install.ps1 -All copies it into every SketchUp year folder it finds, so a machine with 2023 and 2026 side by side gets both. The panel is a plain HtmlDialog with no node_modules and no external dependencies, so there is nothing else to install alongside it.
One-off, at a suggested $35. There is no subscription and no per-project fee. The 2.0.0 package installs as a plain .rbz and runs offline once it is in place, on your own workstation. Updates arrive the same way: 20 .rbz packages have shipped so far and the current one is cityfill_v2.0.0.rbz, which you simply install over the previous version.
It fills the context, not your design. Buildings are parametric masses at roughly 30-400 faces each across three detail levels: right for massing, shadow and presentation views, but with no interiors and no window-by-window detail. It also generates the city rather than importing a real one - there is no GIS or map data import, you scatter on faces you select, paint with the brush, or draw a road and let it grow the block around it. On large fields stay on the mass level: detail level times building count is what drives face count, and CityFill downgrades detail automatically when the budget is hit.
